PAX Receipt Paper Rolls
PAX payment terminals are common across Canada, and many merchants know them by their processor's name rather than the PAX badge. A well-known example is the PAX A920, which Moneris offers in Canada as Moneris Go. If you are shopping for PAX paper rolls, check the model name on the label under the terminal, then match it below. VANTROO supplies BPA-free thermal rolls in the 2¼″ width these handheld terminals use, shipped from Calgary.
Models and roll size
We only list a PAX model once we have found its paper size in an official source, such as a PAX spec sheet or the processor's own documentation.
| Model | Paper width | Max roll diameter |
|---|---|---|
| PAX A920 (Moneris Go) | 58mm (2¼″) | 40mm, per PAX |
PAX spec sheets for the A920Pro and A80 give a maximum roll diameter (40mm and 50mm) but do not state the paper width, so we have not listed those models yet. If you run one, measure the width of your current roll. About 57–58mm means 2¼″ paper.
Check the compartment first. The A920 takes a roll no more than 40mm across. Before you open a full case, load one roll and make sure the cover closes easily without pinching the paper.
Which pack to buy
For an A920, choose 2¼″ × 50′ rolls. One terminal can start with the 50-pack; businesses running several units usually save with a larger pack.
- 2¼″ × 50′ rolls, 50-pack – $28.99 (about $0.58 per roll)
- 2¼″ × 50′ rolls, 100-pack – $43.99 (about $0.44 per roll)
- 2¼″ × 50′ rolls, 200-pack – $73.99 (about $0.37 per roll)
- 2¼″ × 50′ rolls, 500-pack – $179.99 (about $0.36 per roll)
Bigger case quantities are listed in our 2¼″ thermal paper roll collection.
Shipping is free on every Canada order, with no minimum, whether you order one 50-pack or a full case.
How to load the roll
Open the paper cover, set the roll in so the paper feeds out over the tear bar, and leave a short tail sticking out before you close the lid. The thermal (coated) side must face the print head. If receipts come out blank, the roll is in backwards, so turn it over and try again.
